Men of the Nigeria Customs service in Tin-Can Island have busted the operation of a syndicate that specializes in smuggling weapons into the country.

The weapons that were allegedly shipped in from Turkey were about 1,100 pump action riffles which were loaded in 20 containers.

The Bill of Laden reportedly indicated the containers were carrying wash hand basins
