Borno communities plead for assistance
Residents of Kaleri, Simari and Zinnari communities in Borno state have called on the government to come to their rescue as their villages are on the verge of been washed away by the river in the area.
The villagers appealed to relevant agencies that went to inspect the level of risk of the communities of total neglect from the government despite several complaints to and politicians.
They said when it rains, the whole villages are submerged in water and it takes days for the waters to drain. A situation that has perpetually keep them on the alert of losing their houses and other valuables.
Ironically, the river, according to the villagers is their only source of water as they have no borehole or any source of water.
They, therefore, called on relevant stakeholders to come to their rescue before the water destroy their houses.
