United States House of Representatives Democratic Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, has flayed President Donald Trump of the U.S., over the war in Iran.

The U.S. legislator berated President Trump over failure to adequately prepare for the consequences of launching a war on Iran.

According to Jeffries, "the administration failed to prepare for this reckless war of choice.

"They failed to prepare for Iran's action on the Strait of Hormuz.

"They failed to prepare as it relates to the fact that thousands of Americans are stranded for days, if not weeks, in the Middle East with no plan by the State Department to evacuate American citizens in a very challenging region where there are now more than 12 countries that have been plunged into this conflict as a result of what began with Donald Trump's reckless decision to spend billions of dollars to drop bombs in the Middle East."

The legislator expressed deep discontentment that "there is no plan of action as it relates to the fact that all these countries are now involved.
