The Oyo state government joined in the frenzy of Christmas festivities as it held a joint Christmas carol service to celeberate the season. Correspondent, adisa winlade who was at the carol said it was a
carnival of sort as people from all walks of life and religious affiliations gathered at the refurbished Agodi gardens to celeberate christmas in grand style.

This year Christmas carol service may not be the first for the current political dispensation in Oyo state as it has happened year after year  successfully  thanks to the state first lady, Florence Ajimobi, but it was the first to be held inside the reformed Agodi gardens now Agodi resorts and conferences. From the glittering lightning’s, the serenity that nature bestowed upon the gardens, to the choristers and men of God arrayed to grace the carol service, it is bound to be said that it was a beauty of a carol to usher in Christmas which dawns in few days time.

While admonishing citizens of the state, on the tenets of Christmas which he termed 'Good news' the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye in his characteristical
manner prayed for the restoration of the good news in the lives of the government and people of Oyo state.

Speaking earlier after the taken of the first and second lessons by the deputy governor, chief Moses Adeyemo and the first lady Mrs Florence Ajimobi respectively, a visibly elated governor Abiola
Ajimobi thanked the people for their support in the restoration and transformation drive of his administration saying the transformed Agodi gardens is a picture of the state and christmas stand for a new world.
