Over 150 Graduate Undergo Sure-P Training In Benin
Sure-P Reinvestment program; a Federal Government strategic measures to help the teeming unemployed graduate become employable and self-reliant has trained close to 150 of them.
The 3 days program which ended up in Benin-City had participants from across the three senatorial districts of Edo states.
The participants were graduate already working in private companies under the federal government assisted intervention program.
Lucky Umoru, the guest speaker who took the participants through a special training exercise, said government intends to provide an enabling environment where businessess can thrive and then employ people. saying that the private sector appears to be the largest employer of labour.
The guest speaker while emphasizing the need for them to take this training seriously in view of the challenge they hope to meet in their various establishment by the time they must have returned back, further throw insights why the federal government have to removed subsidy and channel the funds into areas outlined such as maternal and child health services, community services, graduate internship scheme and so on.
Some of the participants after the training however expressed satisfaction and hope that the intervention fund promised them will be a reality.
