APC Reviews Timetable, Retains Nomination Costs At N100m, N50m, N20m for 2027 General Elections
The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, comprehensively reviewing its timetable, retained the prescribed nomination fees for the 2027 General Elections.
APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, in a statement in Abuja, indicated that the revised timetable provides specific dates for primaries, screening, appeals, and sale of nomination forms.
The APC retained costs for Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms. According to the party, aspirants for House of Assembly, will pay ₦6 million; House of Representatives ₦10 million, Senate ₦20 million, Governorship ₦50 million, and Presidential ₦100 million.
The timetable indicated that the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms commenced on April 25 and will end on May 2, 2026. Deadline for final submission is May 4, 2026.
The party will conduct screening of aspirants for Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship, and President, between May 6 and May 9, 2026. The publication of screening results will follow on May 11. Post-screening appeals will hold on May 12 and May 13.
The APC will conduct primaries Primary elections House of Representatives on May 15, 2026; the Senate on May 18; Houses of Assembly on May 20, Governorship on May 21, and the Presidential primary on May 23, 2026. The party will round up post-primaries appeals on May 25, 2026.
