The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, visiting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos, said that the party has activated internal mechanisms to reduce post-primary tensions ahead of the 2027 elections.

Professor Yilwatda said the Party had intensified reconciliation efforts to manage grievances and sustain unity after the primary elections.

Yilwatda described ongoing direct primaries as largely peaceful, organised and competitive, saying they remain extensive internal electoral exercise.

The APC chairman thanked the President for the moral backing given to the National Working Committee, NWC, saying the support had strengthened efforts to enforce party regulations.
