Ogun says 85% of TB cases are undetected

Ogun state government has confirmed that 85% of tuberculosis cases in the state are undetected despite 215 treatment clinics provided for the people.


The state commissioner for health, Babatunde Ipaye made this known in Abeokuta, the state’s capital while speaking about the innovative programme, themed ‘Wellness on the Wheel (WOW).’

He noted that the vehicle will move round the nook and cranny of the state to take tuberculosis treatment to the people at their footsteps most especially in the rural areas.

On her part, the National Coordinator of TB Leprosy programme said the programme will kick off in Ogun state, followed by Nassarawa state.
