Kwara provides free medical over five hundred beneficiaries
Over five hundred patients have benefited from free medical surgery provided by the Kwara state government in collaboration with other medical organizations.
The five-day free medical outreach cost the government over twenty million naira and it assured that it will continue with the programme.
Patients of various ailments gathered at the Ilorin general hospital for consultation on the free medical outreach to be provided by the Kwara state government.
As on the fourth day of the programme, one hundred eye surgeries have been carried out with 250 eyeglasses provided and more than one hundred and fifty general surgeries also performed.
One of the beneficiaries said, the intervention of the state government has saved their lives and huge sums of money being requested from other hospitals.
The Kwara state government says it will continue to partner with credible medical organizations to provide free services while also working on improving its medical services.
