Kano state government has launched a measles vaccination campaign to guide against the spread of the disease that usually occurs each year immediately after the raining season. 

The Permanent Secretary Kano State Ministry of Health Usman Bala explained that the measles vaccination campaign would be carried out across the 484 political wards and 44 local government areas of the state till November 12th, 2019.

He revealed that the state has received over 2.9 million doses of measles vaccine from the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and recorded sustainable progress in the training of personnel, provision of logistics and support from the development partners.
